Commercial bonds, also known as business bonds or commercial surety bonds, are agreements that protect businesses and their clients. They are required by federal, state and local laws for obtaining professional licensure in various industries, such as by healthcare providers, real estate agents, and even those who act as securities dealers. The most common purpose of business bonds is to ensure that a business owes nothing to anyone if they fail to pay obligations or break laws. There are industries that require a bond to show that an entrepreneur is fit for your new job, marry you, or live in their home5.
