The Sniper series yellow laser pointer is not doubt the greatest innovation in laser diode technology, which is not only a big step in laser diversification, but also successfully earned special attentions from those fans of laser pointer. The most important attractions of this yellow laser pointer should be the serious temptations of its gorgeous appearance design and magnificent golden laser beam. The unique golden laser beam and high power have made this High Powered Laser Pointer applicable in scientific researches, medical, and military areas.Laser pointers, while not entirely necessary for undergrads, are nevertheless a whole lot of fun to play with. And for formal presentations too, I guess. You can go in several different directions on this one. I very often see the canonical cylindrical HeNe lasers that operate with a button on the top (left). It is and maybe a little Spartan, as gadgets go. Interestingly, these can either be powered in traditional laser fashion, or be an LED connected via blue tooth. More recently, I’ve become partial to the laser pointers that also act to advance your slides (right). They can be more expensive, but it’s up to you (or your PI) if the extra cost is worth the fun of not being tied to your computer during a presentation or lecture. One can purchase laser pointers from almost anywhere, and unless you want something particularly fancy, you can get them for pretty cheap. If you’re interested in colors, you can get laser pointers in the ubiquitous red or green, as well as violet, yellow, blue, and infrared (though I’m not so sure how that would be useful for everyday use…). Though I’m sure a yellow laser pointer would really liven up any presentation, I can’t imagine that it would be generally accepted among our community.
Another more interesting (and fun) direction is a high-power HeNe or GreNe (what people at my University call a green laser. Not sure if that’s standard, per se). While difficult to point specifically without the use of a ring-stand/clamp apparatus, high powered lasers are a whole lot more fun. More importantly, you can go straight from a presentation to examining the effects of the photoelectric effect. This brings us to our fun-quantum-mechanics-picture-of-the-day! A couple weeks ago, my quantum mechanics lab had the distinct pleasure of quantifying the photoelectric effect. As you’d expect, this lab consisted of 3.5 hours of adjusting knobs in the dark, resulting in general delirium and sensitivity to light for the rest of the day. The voltage-meter in the back reads 0.00 because (if you remember your quantum physics) a ‘stopping potential’ had been carefully applied the measure the work function of the collector electrode in this setup. Attacking Laser Pointers for the poor picture quality – this was done with a cell-phone camera! The main products include green, blue, red, yellow, infrared, ultraviolet, single-frequency and compared with traditional lasers, the advantages of all-solid-state laser and semi-conductor laser are small, high efficiency, long service life, good reliability, good quality of light beam, short wavelength, convenience in transportation and use, and pollution-free. Presently, these lasers are applied in laser direction, light source for teaching and experiment, medical diagnosis, instrument manufacture, laser orientation instrument, basic research, light storage, entertainment, detection, control, national defense and military, etc.
Believe or not, a simple laser pointer can be used for many different activities. Because they come in various colors and strengths, laser pointers can suit a variety of needs. For example, the devices are often used in building and interior design projects because they make it easy to point to things and measure distances without having to move around. Since green laser pointers, in particular, have a very long reach, they are ideal for circling stars during nighttime astronomy talks. People can also use laser pointers to have fun with animals and make laser light shows. With the right precautions, laser pointers can be used for both work and play.Different types of laser pointers are ideal for different activities. For simple recreational activities, red and green lasers are the most common. They are usually less expensive than blue lasers, violet lasers, and rare yellow lasers. Green laser pointers are generally brighter than red laser pointers, and their beams can be seen in the right kind of lighting. This makes green lasers ideal for pointing out objects that are very far away because the eye can follow the laser beam along its entire length. Many red laser pointers, on the other hand, do not have a visible beam unless they are very powerful. The human eye is only able to pick up the dot of red as the Super Laser Pointer Blue comes into contact with something solid.Users should exercise a high degree of caution when using blue and yellow lasers because these devices are often powerful enough to cause serious harm to the eye, even with only momentary contact. When using laser pointers of any color, people should keep in mind that an output above five milliwatts is considered to be dangerous.
