WHAT TO DO IF TURBOTAX NOT WORKING PROPERLY?

The components, choices, software, users, and services that go into each computer are unique. In other words, while TurboTax can install and work without a hitch on one computer, issues may occur when installing, opening, or using TurboTax on another computer due to its setup. The TurboTax update hangs due to a bad or unreliable Wi-Fi connection. Therefore, it is recommended that the user use the TurboTax CD/Download software with a connected, broadband connection, especially if you are facing TurboTax not working issue.

WHAT TO DO IF TURBOTAX DOESN'T WORK?

If TurboTax isn't working, try the following steps to see if they'll remove any lag:

Completely log out of Turbo Tax.
After erasing the cache and cookies, the browser should be completely closed.
Restart the browser and log into Turbo Tax to see if the issue has been resolved.
The user has the choice of using another browser or "incognito mode."

The user must try the above-provided steps if the TurboTax not working.

WHAT IF TURBOTAX DOWNLOAD NOT WORKING?

If there are issues with the TurboTax download or during installation, do the following:

Verify that the minimum system requirements are met for the computer.
Ensure that the user has administrator permissions on the computer and that TurboTax is running as administrator: Right-click the TurboTax or setup icon to access Properties. Click OK after selecting the Run as Administrator checkbox on the Compatibility tab.
Check the computer's CD drive and the TurboTax CD if the user is installing from a CD. Clean up and defragment the hard drive.
Start Windows Update to keep the computer updated. Update the computer's hardware drivers. Software for spyware, viruses, and firewall should be updated.
Close any open software and browser windows prior to installation.

Making sure that TurboTax is running as administrator and that the computer's minimum system requirements are met are two of these steps. Other options consist of removing outdated firewalls and antivirus software from the computer. These steps resolve the problem of the TurboTax download not working.
