Former Virginia governor asks to remain free during appeal, replica cartier love chain

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) Former Virginia Gov. Supreme Court. Circuit Court of Appeals refused to reconsider a three judge panel's unanimous decision upholding his convictions. McDonnell's lawyers asked the court to clarify that its previous order allowing him to remain free pending appeal will remain in force.

"After all, he remains neither a flight risk nor a threat to public safety, and the questions presented by his case remain 'substantial,' notwithstanding that a panel of this Court has rejected them," the lawyers wrote. Friday to respond.

A jury in September found McDonnell and his wife, Maureen, guilty of doing favors for wealthy vitamin executive Jonnie Williams in exchange for more than $165,000 in gifts and loans. Bob McDonnell was sentenced to two years in prison, his wife to one year and one day.

In Thursday's filing, lawyers argued that McDonnell would suffer "irreparable harm" if he serves the bulk of his prison term and his convictions are ultimately overturned by the Supreme Court. Conversely, the government would not be harmed if the sentence is postponed and the Supreme Court denies review, they argued.

The former Republican governor, once widely considered a possible running mate for presidential candidate Mitt Romney, was convicted of 11 counts and was sentenced to two years in prison. His wife was sentenced to one year and one day on eight counts. Both have been free while they pursue separate appeals.

The Richmond based appeals court has scheduled oral arguments in Maureen McDonnell's case for late October.

According to trial testimony, replica cartier pendant necklace, Williams showered the McDonnells with lavish gifts including a Rolex watch for the governor, about $20,000 in designer clothing for the first lady and $15,000 to pay for catering at a daughter's wedding while the former Star Scientific Inc. president sought state university research on his company's signature product. He also loaned the McDonnells thousands of dollars on exceptionally favorable terms to help them pay off debt and keep their money losing Virginia Beach vacation rental properties afloat.

Meanwhile, the McDonnells attended promotional events and hosted a product launch event for Anatabloc, replica cartier chain ring, the tobacco derived anti inflammatory manufactured by Williams' company. Bob McDonnell also arranged meetings with administration officials for Williams, who wanted not only the university research but also inclusion of Anatabloc in the state's employee health plan.

The former governor has insisted that he provided nothing more than routine political courtesies and access to Williams and that he was convicted under an overly broad definition of bribery.

McDonnell's lawyers said in their latest motion that there is a "reasonable probability" that the Supreme Court will review the case because other judicial circuits have adopted a narrower definition of what constitutes an "official act" under federal bribery law, replica necklace love.

An Interesting Tail

Fade In and Cindy have not had a lot of facetime since well, a bit of a disastrous pizza party with Carol Danvers, in point of fact. After a stilted silence, texting had resumed normal levels, but between busy schedules and Caitlin's unflapping awkwardness, they'd slipped a bit behind in terms of socializing.

"It's kinda weird, yeah, being 'official'," Caitlin explains, continuing the conversation they've engaged upon. Sitting at a bistro with coffee in hand, it's a lovely early spring day and the sunshine is finally beating back the cool ocean breezes, to the point where only a light jacket is needed. Caitlin is hunkered in the only steel framed chair available, holding a giant, oversized cappuccino cup in both hands and making it look more or less to scale. "I was sort of a reserve, associate member before you know, I could use the gym and I'd help out if I was needed. But now, they're talking like, I'll be doing more full time stuff. Once I'm voted on and if they like me, the Justice League will even have me doing spokewoman stuff for 'em. I'm kinda nervous about that," she admits, turning the cup around in her hands, "but it comes with the job, right?"

She's dressed quite casually, her flaming orange hair held back by a plain back headband, and her jeans a bit fashionably worn over the modestly heeled wedges on her feet. Her t shirt says Armor: 0 Weight: 2 Value: 5 coppers, some kind of refernece to a video game, most likely.

Cindy Moon cannot express in words how much of a massive nerd Cait is, thankfully its more endearing than anything else at this point. Especially consdering how, well, larger than life Cait is. "So, Social media then?" Cindy questions, taking a sip of whatevery incredibly expensive whitegirl coffee she had chosen. There was that word, the one that had come to plague her waking hours as she spent more and more time involved with the instagrams and facebooks and googles of the world, things had been different before she was cut off, so it was only natural for it to all be a little bit overwhelming!

"But! The Justice league, that's great Red." Cindy finally ends with a bright smile, putting her cup down and tilting her head a bit to the right. Yeah, she's impressed. It was only just the Justice League right? Something a D List hero like herself could appreciate, and well, may even been something for her to look forward to. You know, when she actually gets comfortable with the idea of being a hero or something as cheesy as that.

"And nervous? I didn't even know you felt emotions that complex." She shoots with a sly grin, puckering her lips. "I've seen you embarassed, awkward, but never really ever /nervous/." She continues, only to roll her eyes upward and glance off to her right. "I mean, other than around girls." She ho hums, totally covering up her own bouts of immense awkward by pushing it on to Red.

Cindy was dressed as well as ever, a nice plain red top with a gently sloping neckline, pleated black skirt, flats. It was functional and airy, and really far from something interesting.

Even though Selina Kyle is still fairly young she's feeling her age prematurely, bone weary and like she's over a hundred instead of the thirty she is. It is because she was up all night on a 'job' and then she had to stay awake for an early morning meeting which only just concluded. Yes. She is exhausted and in need of a hot bubble bath and at least twelve hours sleep.

Dressed in a snazzy business skirt suit, the brunette wanders into the place and to where a cup of something caffeinated can be ordered, her eyes drifting closed from time to time as she waits in the queue. Someone probably should poke her a time or two if only to make sure she doesn't fall asleep on her feet.

Metropolis is not a place Tigra's had too many chances to just get out and explore, but with the Hall of Justice located there she ought to do that more. Today's the day for it. Regardless of the weather, cool or not, wet or dry, the colorful, replica cartier love ring necklace, striped woman tries something intended to gauge reactions: she simply walks along the sidewalks like a normal person.

Surely, there are some who stare, a few who reach for their phones to get proof that They Saw Her! Some even seem happy to see someone who's been associated with the JL:A lately. Somewhere close to the bistro, she stops as a few kids gather around her. Yes, actual kids.

High points of pink appear up on Caitlin's strong cheekbones, and she ducks her head away, looking a bit sheepish and biting back a titter. "Uh, well, I'm nervous around everyone ," she counters, a bit lamely. "But, uh, yeah, particularly around cute girls," she concedes, the pink reddening a bit and clashing terribly with her orange hair as she makes a game attempt at being remotely flirty. "I'm just I kinda was just getting used to finally blending in a bit. Now I gotta start dressing up a bit more and looking more professional. It's just unnerving, 'sall," she waves, waving off the complaint.

She spots Selina drifting in and out of somnambulence, and watches as a piece of paper flitters out of the woman's pocket and hits the ground. "'scuse me, miss?" she calls at Selina. She wiggles her fingers to get her attention, then pooints at the paper on the concrete floor, flashing a reassuring smile anda dimple appearing on one cheek.

"Oh hey! There's Tigra! I wish I looked half that good," she mutters at Cindy, "then I wouldn't mind standing out. Her Instagram is like huge," she confesses with a mutter.

"Tigra! Hey!" She lifts her hand and waves with an overabundance of enthusiasm at the feline woman, smiling happily at the sight of her friend. "Hi! C'mon join me!"

Cindy Moon blinks, zoning out for a moment as a queer expression comes across her face, only for Cindy to cough and quickly shake her head. H Hrm. It was that familiar tingle down her spine, quietly rousing her as she tears her eyes off of Cait and glances this way and that. Well, nothing seemed out of order but she's quite quickly pulled back towards Cait. She can't help but get some small amount of horrible, terrible enjoyment out of the blush. "Riiiiiight." She replies, most tease, half dismissively. "Though, you're missing a great chance to hit on someone with that." She adds quickly, eyes dragging over towards the paper.

Cait is the /truest/ her Is Is that a cat? W Wwhat Moon is staring at Tigra wideyed, this This is very new.

Cindy Moon really Really Really Wants to pet it.

The woman with the wild red orange hair succeeds in rousing the tired philanthropist, causing Selina to startle a bit and then turn a bleary eye towards the direction in which the voice came from. "Oh. Sorry. Just dead on my feet this morn Pausing, she looks at her fancy Rolex watch, glancing quickly at the time. " afternoon, it seems. Been up since yesterday morning and I am beat!" Grinning sheepishly, she shrugs, giving Caitlin and her friend a what can you do kind of shrug, not noticing that something fell out of her pocket.

Tigra's noticed once she's done apologizing to the other two, the feline esque nature of the lady not gaining so much as a second blink from her. She's from Gotham, after all. Selina's used to seeing people of all kinds, up to and including such unusual ones as giant crocodiles and men made of oozing mud. "Hello." Tigra's given a polite smile once she's looking Sel's way.

Once the others have spotted Tigra, they might notice the way her tail seems to instinctively keep close by a leg or arm when a kid's grabby hand gets too close. Once or twice, she's distracted enough that one of them actually gets a good grip of it, but she's quick to scold the child gently, of course and slip it free.

When it comes to dressing up more and looking professional, that may be a concern of Fairchild's but it's apparently not one of Tigra's. It's the usual top and shorts for her, meaning most of her natural look is left for others to see.

Hearing her name called out, whether through a door, replica cartier love necklace, window, or not, she looks up and away from the kids, a hand palming the top of one boy's head to keep him at bay. It could be funny. "Hmm?" Eyes shoot past Selina at first, spotting Fairchild with someone else, and her free hand goes up in a wave. Then her gaze settles on the tired looking woman for a hint of a nod, she glances down and appears to say something to the handful of children, and she dislodges herself from them to approach the bistro. As might be expected, she moves with a natural grace that fits what she is.

Caitlin smiles happily when Tigra starts heading her way, and spots the way Cindy's eyes start widening in surprise. Caitlin blinks quickly, for once getting ahead of a situation instead of inserting her foot into her mouth after the fact.

"Cindy, she's a friend, and a very nice person," she murmurs, bumping Cindy's shin under the table gently. "Just treat her like you would any other person. Please," she adds, making it a plea.

She smiles at Selina. "It's okay, I know the feeling," she says, sympathetically. As Tigra approaches, Caitlin eases carefully out of her seat and offers the tigress a hug. "Hi Tigra! Wanna sit me me a lil'? This is my friend Cindy," she says, waving a hand at the petite woman. "Cindy, this is Tigra, she's another League member, and very cool person all around."

Cindy Moon is a New Yorker through and through and this is still /so far beyond anything she would have expected to see in person/. Sure, she knew More eccentric people like Tigra existed of course! She'd seen the pictures, she's been on the internet! But Well, love necklace replica gold, this is new. And she cannot help but stare, her breath caught in her throat. Oh god. Oh god. She's so /cute/. Something is telling Cindy she should be caught in the whole sex appeal thing? Like, that little adult voice in the back of her head? But nope, replica cartier love necklace yellow gold, she's descending into the teenager at heart in the moment, she's so /ADORABLE/. Hell, Cindy even has a lovely dopey grin going now.

Poor Selena gets ignored by Cindy, because, well, Cindy isn't aware that the brunette is /also/ a cat in certain perspectives.

"A Ahh?" She mumbles, after getting bumped, quickly snapping out of her little trance. "I I can do that!" She huffs back in response, who are you talking to Red?! If there's anyone who can be normal here its he And then Red is up and Cindy is left sitting in her chair, staring wide eyed up at Tigra. " Wuh. 'm Cindy." She mumbles out finally, yep, totally keeping it cool.

NADA Clean Trade In value

Yeah trade in value on a car that was LESS THAN 90 DAYS OLD isnt sitting well with me,cartier replica necklace.

Know what my problem is? Bums who didnt pay ANYTHING down or were underwater and rolled debt into their TDI loan get up to 130%, and break even essentially paying off their undwerwater debt from a previous loan.

Meanwhile the guy like me that paid 12K down on a 2015 car that was 33K, gets the shaft and loses 2K.

Because prudent financial decisions should be punished, and people that make stupid poor decisions and are a mile underwater get forgiven and break even.

Bullshit. Bunch of damn bums. I hope it leaves a black mark on your credit. Its the equal of a bankruptcy.

I guess I love to turn in the car I was 7K underwater on in and start with a clean slate for free too. Enjoy your free ride.

I recently read here somewhere (and I am paraphrasing) if you bought a Rolex watch from a jeweler, and they knowingly sold you a fake and then you found out, replica love necklace gold, and they admitted it, and you sued, you wouldn get back a percentage price of what you paid for the watch because "you got use" from it and it was now a used watch. You would be entitled to treble damages. Not sure why the transaction here should be valued any differently just because they are cars.

We still have the opportunity to weigh in on the settlement. I imagine most people will be happy. Although in my opinion, like you did with the watch analogy, you can compare the two. I don see how what GM did, and how they were punished, should determine how VW gets to assess what "value" their customers got from their fraudulent products. "Precedent" isn a good example. Just look at what kind of "precedent" was just set in that Brock Turner case.

A lot of negotiation probably went on to get us here, replica cartier mens gold chain, that for sure.

The issue I have is, if I were sold something under fraudulent circumstances, I should get a full refund, and the financial burden of committing the fraud is on VW. I not TRADING my car to VW, they are BUYING it from me after being told to do so by the federal government, yet they are giving me the NADA trade in price. Trade in price works in a couple of grand in profit for the dealer, and sure as hell is not fair market value. In this case there is no dealer involved. So, the difference in trade in value versus private sale is like 2.5 grand, so that eats up about half of my compensation. I take the damn offer to be done with all this, but VW can kiss any chance I will ever buy one of their cars goodbye. I owned several VWs in my lifetime, replica cartier chain for men, but this is enough to make me move on. I guess I didn really expect full rescission, but that is what it should have been if the FTC would have truly put their foot down. I am going to end up getting a few thousand less than what I payed for mine. Still a pretty good deal considering it is about half payed off, and I have been driving it for 2 and a half years. Looks like my wife and I are trading cars, as she doesn drive in the summer and I do. That will keep my mileage penalty from going up from my super high commute.

Glenn Stevens also admits to inconsistencies in his story and to stealing money and fabricating resume entries

Just a few days before his arrest in the shotgun slayings of his parents, Lyle Menendez gave friends $2,000 and told them that if "anything should happen," they were to call a lawyer who "knows everything," one of the friends testified Wednesday.

On a plane trip to California from New Jersey, Lyle Menendez also disclosed that he had been going to a therapist, who had made tape recordings of his sessions, Glenn Stevens testified. "He said, 'If the police get their hands on those tapes,' and I quote, 'I'm ,' " Stevens testified.

Later, however, Stevens conceded that he had trouble with his memory, that some testimony was inconsistent with his prior comments, that he was a thief and that he had dramatically embellished his resume. He also called himself Lyle Menendez's best friend but said he had regularly fed police information.

"Friendship transcends a lot of things," Stevens said, refusing to look at his onetime friend, who was watching him intently. "But homicide is not one of them."

Lyle Menendez, 25, and his brother, Erik Menendez, 22, are charged with first degree murder in the Aug. 20, 1989, slayings of their parents, Jose Menendez, 45, a wealthy entertainment executive, and Kitty Menendez, bracelet cartier love replica, 47. The parents were killed in the TV room of the family's $4 million Beverly Hills mansion.

Prosecutors contend that the brothers killed out of greed and hatred, and are seeking the death penalty. Defense lawyers have said the brothers killed their parents but fired in self defense after years of physical, mental and sexual abuse.

The prosecution case relies heavily on L. Jerome Oziel, the psychologist mentioned in Stevens' testimony. According to court documents, Erik Menendez confessed to Oziel two months after the killings, love cartier bangle, and the therapist is likely to be in court today for legal arguments over his scheduled testimony Friday.

Since it began last week, the Menendez trial has been shown daily on Court TV, a cable channel. The mix of TV drama, courtroom testimony and legal logistics came to an unusual intersection Wednesday during Stevens' testimony.

Defense lawyer Jill Lansing asked him, "Have you been watching this show on Court TV?" She immediately corrected herself: "I mean this trial?"

When not testifying, witnesses are almost always barred from the courtroom so they cannot tailor what they say to prior witnesses' statements. But Stevens, cartier love bracelet 4 diamonds, 23, said he had been watching "portions of it every day" in New Jersey, where he lives. Van Nuys Superior Court Judge Stanley Weisberg nodded but said nothing.

Two juries are hearing the case, one for each brother. Stevens' testimony Wednesday was before the Lyle Menendez jury only.

Stevens and Lyle Menendez met while attending Princeton University, love cartier bracelet.

In 1989 and 1990, Lyle Menendez gave him money, the down payment for a car, a rent free apartment and gifts, including a Rolex watch, plane tickets, hotels and meals, Stevens said. The job paid $50,000 a year, he said.

But under questioning by defense attorney Lansing, Stevens said he told a Los Angeles County grand jury he never accepted anything from Lyle Menendez. He said he sold the watch.

Within weeks of the killings, he said, he began to forward information about Lyle Menendez to police. On Sept. 18, 1989, he said, he told police his friend was "arrogant and condescending and spending money in an offensive way," which disturbed him.

Stevens said he "pilfered" a "couple hundred dollars" from the restaurant till. "I just took the money because I got vindictive," he said.

On his resume, Stevens said he supervised 20 people at the restaurant. In truth, he said Wednesday, it was five. The resume said he did the restaurant's accounting. He did not, he said Wednesday.

The resume also said he was his high school valedictorian, had received an academic award and took part in various business and community activities. None of those things were true, he testified.

PokerStars Teams With Resorts on Internet Gambling

The parent company of the PokerStars gambling website, thwarted thus far in its efforts to buy one Atlantic City casino, on Wednesday announced a deal in which it will partner with another one to offer Internet gambling in the state once it becomes legal later this year.

The Rational Group is joining with Resorts Casino Hotel as its online gambling partner, pending approval from state casino regulators.

But Wednesday's announcement raised another big question: whether PokerStars plans to continue its court fight to try to buy The Atlantic Club Casino Hotel, in which it thus far has been rebuffed. An appeals court ruled Monday The Atlantic Club can seek a new buyer even as the court fight continues.

The Rational Group CEO Mark Scheinberg said the company is excited about investing in New Jersey. in association with the other quality brands Resorts has brought to Atlantic City,'' he said in a statement.

But his statement made no mention of its plans regarding The Atlantic Club, and a spokesman did not immediately return messages seeking comment Wednesday. Rational spent $11 million of the purchase price it negotiated with The Atlantic Club on payments to keep the casino afloat during the slow winter months.

NJ Court: Atlantic Club Can Still Seek New Buyer

But the casino, citing language in the contract enabling it to cancel if Rational had not received preliminary ownership approval from state gambling regulators by a certain date, pulled the plug on the deal and said it would look for other buyers. Rational went to court to try to preserve the deal but has had no success. Monday's ruling was the latest to go against it but did not end the litigation over the deal.

The deal would add a powerful new brand to a once struggling casino that has been stockpiling them of late, cartier bracelet love.

Resorts signed a deal last year to have the gambling arm of the Mohegan Indian tribe of icut manage the day to day affairs of the casino and linked player databases and rewards programs with Mohegan Sun casinos in icut and Pennsylvania. Dante DeMiro's fraud reaches

Admitted Ponzi crook Dante DeMiro, who stole $3.7 million from Mona Shores Public Schools, was sentenced to 10 years in prison today for multiple fraud that has ballooned to nearly $13 million.

DeMiro, who admitted in April to defrauding five victims of more than $7 million, was ordered to pay $12.9 million in restitution to a long list of victims beyond the five named in the criminal case against DeMiro. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in Port Huron.

Mona Shores was ordered to receive $3.7 million, according to a spokesman for the court, who said there are many victims. Shores sent $3.7 million in voter approved bond proceeds to DeMiro, who operated Southfield investment firm MuniVest, who was supposed to use the money to buy certificates of deposit from multiple banks. However, DeMiro admitted he used that money to pay off other investors and for his personal use that included gambling. Attorney with three counts of felony bank fraud and two counts of felony wire fraud. The charges carry 30 years for bank fraud and 20 years for wire fraud. DeMiro's sentence is at the top of an eight to 10 year range based on sentencing guidelines. Under his agreement, DeMiro would have been able to withdraw his plea if he was sentenced to more than 10 years and one month.

defendant in this case exploited the market downturn to convince conservative clients that their money was safe with him in low risk certificates of deposit. Attorney Barbara McQuade. significant sentence is important in deterring other investment advisers from stealing from vulnerable investors.

A list of all of DeMiro's victims was not immediately available. However, the City of Muskegon Heights has said it is among DeMiro's victims, cartier love braclet replica, after having sent him $195,000 in 2007. A Postal Workers Union local in Pontiac contacted the Chronicle to say it too was a victim.

Among other victims that submitted victim impact statements was UAW Local 723 of Monroe, which sent $300,000 to DeMiro. The money was savings accumulated over 50 years the diligence of members that are mostly now retirees, reads the statement by Mike Keck, the union's financial secretary.

financial secretary (it) is hard to explain how a person touted himself as being a 'Friend of Labor' and providing secure, insured investments was instead a thief who has made off with all their hard work, Keck wrote.

DeMiro took more than money. In the case of former Mona Shores Superintendent Terry Babbitt, DeMiro's actions cost him his job. Though the FBI made it clear school personnel were not suspects in any fraud, Babbitt and the district's former finance director were presssured to resign earlier this year as a result of DeMiro's deeds. The finance director, Mike Schluentz, has since found another job with Fruitport Community Schools.

The FBI says it tracked $765,445 of the school district money to payments DeMiro made to Lapeer County and Comstock Township. Those municipalities also had sent money to DeMiro for bank CDs he never purchased, and despite the payments they received from him, they are still owed nearly $2 million.

Some of the victims money was used for a $1.6 million payment to a labor union in Allen Park that had invested with DeMiro, according to the criminal complaint.

DeMiro got away with his fraud, which began in 2007, by sending clients detailed phony financial statements to make it appear he had invested their money, according to the criminal complaint. In Mona Shores case, DeMiro had achieved a level of trust from the school district by successfully investing money for the district since 1999, according to school officials.

"Today's swindlers artfully conceal their greed with sophisticated marketing and numerous misrepresentations, said FBI Special Agent in Charge Andrew Arena. and pension plan participants must remain diligent in following their money."

Mona Shores' impact statement indicated the district had expected to earn $158,732 in interest on its final doomed investment with DeMiro.

The school district's money was part of bond funds voters approved in 2009 for $12.5 million in improvements throughout the district, including a new high school gymnasium and renovations to the football stadium. Some of those improvements remain incomplete, including new football locker rooms at the high school that lack lockers and flooring and computers that weren't purchased.

As part of his plea, cartier bangle, DeMiro agreed to forfeit MuniVest's assets, including $983,love cartier bracelet,759 in seven bank accounts; three mortgage notes totaling $963,000; promissory notes worth more than $1.37 million; two homes worth an estimated $600,000; a 2009 Harley Davidson; 2009 a Cadillac Escalade; a 2007 Cadillac STS; numerous computers, including 10 laptops; and a Rolex watch.

Mona Shores has filed a forced bankruptcy case against DeMiro, cartier love bangle bracelet, and it's not immediately clear how that will be affected by the federal judge's restitution order issued Tuesday. The school district also is seeking financial compensation from a former employer of DeMiro's, Brookstone Securities, through a legal claim filed with the regulatory agency for securities markets.

Ernie Banks caretaker lists no big bank accounts for late Cubs great

Ernie Banks' original Negro League contract from 1950, his Hall of Fame ring and autographed baseballs from Bill and Hillary Clinton are among the items the Cubs great left behind when he died three months ago.

The list of items was filed in advance of a hearing Wednesday in Cook County Probate Court, where Banks' estranged wife is challenging a will signed by the slugger in October that left all his assets to his longtime caregiver, Regina Rice.

After Rice initially estimated Banks' "known" assets at $16,000, probate Judge James Riley in February ordered her to compile a complete accounting of the estate, including any collections of baseball related memorabilia, replica rolex perpetual datejust, accounts, stocks and life insurance policies taken out in his name.

Rice's inventory of the estate contained no big bank accounts, replica rolex oyster perpetual datejust blue face, insurance policies or real estate. Instead, it consisted of a list of 113 items from Banks' rented condo on the 49th floor of the Trump Tower as well as storage containers in Chicago and California, where he had resided with his fourth wife, Elizabeth Ellzey Banks, until they separated several years ago.

Among the more expensive items on the list were Banks' 2007 silver Lexus, a Rolex watch and several items of jewelry, including his ring commemorating his induction into the Hall of Fame in 1977.

Also included were numerous mementos from Banks' life that could fetch big money from sports memorabilia enthusiasts, from his presidential Medal of Freedom awarded by President Barack Obama in 2013 to an "engraved Ernie Banks Class of 1977 Wooden Box," according to the filing.

The items found in the storage containers were decidedly more mundane. Two storage crates in Chicago included boxes of photos, used clothing, a chrome plant stand and an Ernie Banks bobblehead, according to the filing. The California storage containers held golf clubs, an old chair, rolex datejust oyster perpetual replica, a Michael Jordan jersey, pots and pans, vacuum parts and a "badly worn" garment bag, replica used rolex datejust, among other items.

In a statement Rice issued in February, she said Banks had been part of her life for 12 years and the record will "dispel any iota of concern regarding my relationship with Ernie and his trust in me to carry out his wishes" in his lifetime and after his death.

Banks' family, including his twin sons from a previous marriage, have alleged that Rice took advantage of Banks' weakened physical state and got him to sign all his assets over to her. But last month, Riley confirmed the will after two witnesses from the law office testified Banks appeared to be of "sound mind" when he signed the document.

Attorneys for Banks' wife have downplayed the "proof of will" hearing last month as a procedural matter and said they would keep investigating the circumstances surrounding Banks' decision to exclude his family from his estate.

World is a universe of its own

LAS VEGAS He is older now, rolex perpetual oyster datejust replica, grayer around the temples, gimpier in his eroding knees. World, advancing age and even the threat of hard prison time can be momentarily ignored in the intoxicating glare of notoriety. World was back in business. Imperious behind wraparound sunglasses, he had not reached the courtroom when an admirer squealed her support. World, attention must always be paid. himself.

Simpson's return to the limelight last week was a four day pit stop before a full blown criminal trial scheduled for sometime next year. The hearing ended with a judge ordering Simpson to stand trial on robbery and kidnapping charges in connection with a September Las Vegas hotel room confrontation that was either a drawn gun heist as prosecutors contend or a self styled legal sting operation to recover his own artifacts.

During the hearing, Simpson watched, rolex datejust ii replica, appearing alternately bored and disgusted, as a procession of estranged former associates testified about the Sept. 13 incident at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino. World. Cook, a San Francisco attorney and debt collection specialist who pursues Simpson in courthouses across the country. Mining last week's testimony for new revelations about Simpson's finances and lifestyle, Cook was intrigued by a claim by Bruce Fromong, a former Simpson associate and sports memorabilia dealer, that he had set up offshore accounts for Simpson.

Cook is one of several lawyers working for Fred Goldman, whose son, Ron,rolex oyster perpetual lady datejust replica, was stabbed to death along with Simpson's ex wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, at Nicole Simpson's Brentwood home in 1994. Furious after Simpson was acquitted of criminal charges in the murders, Fred Goldman and other relatives of the victims pressed a civil suit that resulted in a 1997 civil judgment declaring Simpson liable for the deaths. Simpson was ordered to pay Goldman more than $19 million as part of $33 million in restitution.

Over the last decade, Goldman's lawyers have collected barely "a few thousand dollars," Cook said. World.

Nearly every week, process servers working for Goldman descend on a South Miami neighborhood to deliver court papers at Simpson's pale red, tile roofed ranch house, a gated estate worth more than $1 million. More legal demands arrive by mail and Federal Express. In recent months, Cook and fellow Goldman attorney Peter T. Haven sued a Simpson corporate entity to stop publication and seize control of his hypothetical tell all "If I Did It" book about the Brentwood murders. In another Santa Monica courtroom move, Cook wrested away Simpson's supposed Rolex watch only to discover it was a cheap $125 Chinese made knockoff. Their pressure was likely a factor that led to the Las Vegas hotel confrontation. During last week's hearing, rolex oyster perpetual datejust replica, sports memorabilia dealer Thomas Riccio the man who helped Simpson set up the confrontation testified that Simpson told him during one conversation that "he felt Goldman was pressuring him for everything."

"We think he became concerned that we were going to get all his assets," Haven said.

Much of the money Simpson lives on is untouchable despite Goldman's legal efforts and the court rulings piling up against Simpson.

According to federal income tax records made public during a 2004 legal parry, Simpson relies on an annual flow of nearly $400,000 in pension money from his star years as an NFL running back, and from the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists for his stint as a chair vaulting advertising icon for Hertz and as an actor in films like "The Towering Inferno" and "Naked Gun." Federal laws protect pension proceeds from being attached in civil proceedings.
