A man and woman were arrested Tuesday morning in Tampa after using a laser pointer to disturb a police helicopter while it was in the air, WFLA reports.According to the Tampa Police Department, officers were in the helicopter around 10:30 p.m. Monday to help with a robbery investigation. The pilot saw a green light shining from a500mw Laser Pointer Green , and officers tracked down the location.
Two officers arrived at a home near Copeland Park in North Tampa and found Christopher Davis, 23, and Juliana Lampe, 21, sitting on the porch. Police said they admitted to using the laser pointer.
Davis and Lampe were arrested and charged with "misuse of laser lighting device," according to WFLA. They are both being held in on a $2,000 bond and no injuries were reported.
