How to Adjust the Mix Ratio of a Lawn Mower Carburetor from presley's blog

Aftermarket carburetors and those assembled in highlands are usually adjustable. The adjustment of the lawn mower carburetor    can be done as follows:

1. First, check the tightness of the relevant connection parts of the carburetor of the lawn mower to ensure that the carburetor is inhaled normally, and there is no air leakage or inhalation blockage. Then turn the mower carburetor mix ratio screw fully clockwise, then 1.5 turns counterclockwise.

2. Start the engine, let the engine warm up for 10 minutes, and let the engine reach the normal operating temperature. Adjust the lawn mower carburetor idle speed adjustment screw so that the engine does not stall at the lowest speed.

3. Repeatedly adjust the carburetor mixing ratio screw left and right to make the engine speed reach the highest. It was found that after the mixing ratio screw was adjusted to a certain position, the mixing ratio screw was rotated counterclockwise, and the idle speed remained unchanged. At this time, the mixing ratio screw can be stopped at the position where the idle speed has just been adjusted to the maximum.

4. Quickly turn the throttle handle, vigorously add fuel, and release the throttle. During this process, observe whether the acceleration and deceleration of the engine are smooth. If it is stable, the adjustment is successful. If unstable, repeat 3 steps until the engine accelerates and decelerates smoothly. until.
