How effective are drone jammers? from perfectjammer's blog

DJI's DJI Mavic 3 (Yu 3) drone has been on the market for a while now. Recently, a customer reported a problem when communicating with us: the previously purchased and installed drone jammer was not suitable for this new type of large drone. Xinjiang's DJI Yu-3 (Yu-3) UAV does not seem to have a significant interference effect, especially when it comes to expulsion and forced landing. Compared with the performance of other drone models after interference, there is still a certain gap. The client wants to know why this is happening and what is a good solution.

First of all, you need to know that every time DJI launches a new drone, its anti-jamming capability will be further optimized and upgraded. According to our detailed analysis, DJI's new DJI Yu 3 (Yu 3) UAV, its remote control flight control and image transmission, uses the most commonly used 2.4G and 5.8G frequency bands but jumps in frequency anti-interference ability have been better enhanced. Compared with the previous model, the more special change is the addition of the Beidou positioning module to its navigation and positioning module. Knowing this, it is possible to roughly analyze the reasons for the weakening of the UAV jammer in terms of driving away and forced landing.

The drone UAV jammers produced and supplied in the past have built-in GPS navigation and positioning jamming modules, and the frequency coverage may not have enough frequency bandwidth reserved, resulting in jamming signals that cannot fully act on the Beidou navigation frequency. From the perspective of frequency division standards, the frequency range of Beidou Navigation has exactly two frequency bands, which are located in the start and end areas of the GPS1.5G frequency band. The solution to this problem is not difficult or complicated. Our suggestion is to return the original drone jammer to the factory to re-tune the transmit frequency in the GPS band.

In the face of the continuous introduction of various new drones, it is impossible for drone signal jammers to remain conservative all the time. They should also keep pace with the times and update progress at any time!
