Top Anti-Drone Gadgets from perfectjammer's blog

With the growing popularity of inexpensive consumer drones, it has become a huge challenge for security personnel to keep an eye on drones and intercept and deter them when they encounter them. Rogue drones are starting to become more common. Sometimes these are just drones that hobbyists can't control. At other times, these may be part of a coordinated threat. To date, there have been many high-profile incidents involving drones entering airports and another restricted airspace. This has led to the emergence of many drone jammers to deal with drones roaming private property or off-limits areas.

1. Eagles
Guard Against Above, a Dutch company, trains Golden Eagles to snatch quadcopters from the air and bring them to the ground. The experiment caused quite a stir but ultimately had to be put on hold due to the high cost of training and maintaining the eagles.

2. Drone counter guns
Guns and rifles are the most natural responses to flying drones, but they are only viable options in secluded areas away from major cities. Additionally, in many cases, destroying the drone may not be advisable for forensic purposes. Another ground-based deterrent is the use of net-shooting guns to capture drones.

3. Drone jammers
They work by generating high-intensity white noise signals in the same frequency range as drone communication systems. When the drone encounters such a strong disturbance, it either lands where it hovered or returns to where it took off. This would have been an extremely viable method of dealing with drones, but unfortunately, electronic jamming of jamming devices is banned in many countries.

4. Defense drones
Some companies have introduced defensive drones to combat aerial intrusions. Most of these drones emit nets in mid-air that can tangle the rogue drone's propellers, rendering them ineffective.

Although there are many companies in this space, there is still no clear answer to the growing problem of hacking drones. This is one reason why law enforcement has been concerned about the growing number of drones. Inexpensive and readily available counter-drone options will make it easier to seize trespassing drones and ensure that any airspace violations are dealt with early.
