Blue Shark Steak — Healthy & Yumm from Manav Pietro's blog

The blue shark steak, making a comeback in steak restaurants London, is a delicacy that you must have. When cooked in the right manner, the steak has a mild and delicate flavour. It is also a stuff of legends. In some cultures it is seen as medicinal, while in some it is symbolic of strength. There is undeniably the fascination linked to a top predator of the sea.

While its medicinal properties (it was once considered as an effective cure of cancer) may be largely untapped, it still scores high for flavour. But there is another advantage you get with shark meat — its nutritional value. Take a look at the nutritional count in a 100 g steak:

Calories: 130g Polyunsaturated: 0g

Cholesterol: 51g Total carbs: 0g

Protein: 21g Total fat: 5g

Calcium: 3% Sodium: 79 mg

Dietary fibre: 0g Vitamin A: 5%

Saturated: 1g Iron: 5%

Potassium: 160mg Sugars: 0g

Vitamin C: 0%

One glance shows us that the calorie count is just 130g, much lower than a beef steak served at a steak restaurant London. The even better news is the zero polyunsaturated fat and just 1g saturated fat. The cholesterol may seem high at 51g, but this again is lower than meat steak. Moreover, without the saturated fats, the cholesterol’s danger to our body is further reduced.
