converse outlet is
collaborating with Berlin-based skate shop Civilist to celebrate the
city the shop calls home with two signature Converse models – the One
Star Pro and the Chuck Taylor All Star Pro. The Converse CONS x Civilist
pack will pay homage to the history of Berlin by featuring two of its
most prominent landmarks.
Both shoes have translucent bottoms that peer
through to images of the Berlin TV Tower and Berlin Radio Tower on
either foot to represent both East and West Berlin. The shoes also
display an outline of the city of Berlin on each tongue. The CONS One
Star Pro is constructed of a primarily white upper while the CONS All
Star Pro features a primarily black upper – a contrast designed to
represent the merging of both sides of Berlin.
New York-based designer and skater Eli Reed expresses his personal style
on and off the board by using the
converse cons
and One Star silhouettes.Both are built with smooth leather uppers that
were inspired by his favorite pair of shoes when growing up, a pair of
Clarks Wallabees.
The inside of the shoe features a self-portrait of his
mother, that she painted when Eli was a kid – artistically translated
as an unfinished puzzle.
Vans expands their Italian Leather Collection as they have now added the
vans old skools to the list.
Already including the Vans Sk8-Hi, the Vans Vault Old Skool LX now gets
the Italian Leather treatment as the popular low top silhouette gets
covered in a premium leather upper in three different colorways. The
color options include Cielo, Mango and Arctic, with each pair is
contrasted by white accents on the Vans formstripe, laces, inner liner,
and the rubber sole unit.
