I am not certain why people are OSRS gold here responding to comments of"osrs runescape players could only stop" using"lol no they would not".Jagex said exactly the exact same thing to runescape players back when they first started introducing mtx and stupid updates no one wanted or asked for. Runescape players said keep fucking testing us, you're making runescape unenjoyable and were about to leave. Jagex said lol no one won't... guess whatthey did. These kind of things could be made available without monetisation.
I do agree otherwise. One of the huge reasons OSRS and I couldn't play with was because I found it difficult to take pride in a character whose look I did not care for. I do like the capability to make my character look the way, although I'm not to the breaking wings, particles, clown heads, skull masks, etc. This mindset doesn't make sense. There is nothing stopping Jaredx to put MTX on both matches at precisely the exact same moment. They might also put no MTX at the time.
However, naturally, businesses are there to make money and it is irrelevant if you're literally worse than any other company at the moment (possibly except Blizzard), but yeah, enjoying a game which costs us 130$ a year seems like it could be a premium game, since it takes so long to attain everything? Nope there is over 10 types of monetization that resolve problems which Jagex have created. 
Lack of fashionscape that is earnable? Solomon's store! Progression is slow? TH! Want some advice about what you are doing since buy runescape mobile gold doesn't tell you? The Guru Tracker thing is there for you. The only reason there is very little mtx in old school is that the outdated engine.
