Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor turn up ethnically at the LOKMAT Maharashtrian Of The Year Awards 2017 from PC's blog

Award functions are mostly style studded affair. and last week's Lokmat Maharashtrian Of The Year Awards 2017 was no difference either. So when Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor - the new age stylish duo of Bollywood appeared at the event looking their stunning best in traditional Indian clothing, we couldn't be more thrilled to revamp our ethnic style goals.

Although the duo arrived separately at the event, the rumours of them coming together on-screen for Ayan Mukerji's upcoming superhero film Dragon was doing the rounds in Bollywood circles for some time now. The rumours were further stirred as they posed together at the event. Of course we couldn't be more thrilled if these dazzling duo and marvellous actors come on screen as a pair, but for now we can't help but concentrate on their traditional Indian clothing styles. Have a look at their takes on the Indian wear styles and brace yourself for some serious heavy shopping later.

Alia Bhatt in Sabyasachi creation

Usually, expect Alia to don a quirky jacket or princess cut dress. But at the Lokmat event she appeared in traditional Indian clothing instead. She chose a shimmery and intricately embellished golden sharara teamed up with a sheer dupatta by Sabyasachi. With fresh and dewy makeup, defined eyes, neatly tied hair and nothing but a pair of golden and green jhumka in accessories, Alia was a treat to the eyes in her Indian avatar.

Her traditional Indian clothing was styled by Ami Patel and Sanjay Kumar Dauhaliya. Hair and makeup was done by Ayesha Devitre and Subbu respectively.

Ranbir Kapoor in Antar Agni creation

We already know how Ranbir Kapoor can be defined as the most stylish and urbane man in Bollywood right now. But when he arrived at the Lokmat event in an elegant Indo-Western avatar, we couldn't stop daydreaming about him. The Rockstar actor appeared with a clean shaved yet a tad slapdash look, which was done thoughtfully as we can gladly assume. He teamed up a classic white kurta with a black Pathani bottom and a navy duster with high and low hem - all by Antar Agni. A pair of black Barny Nakhle shoes completed his look.

His traditional Indian clothing with a perfect proportion of Western touches was styled by the team of Priyanka & Kazim, Priyanka Chadha, Shraddha Pamnani and Aditi Khanna.
