Kyle Rudolph on Michael Floyd: 'We're all going to make mistakes'

The Vikings tight end became a father last October when his wife Jordan gave birth to twin girls, and to this point, Floyd has said in no uncertain terms he will not be helping with diaper duty. "We're working on that," Rudolph joked on Wednesday.

There was never much question in Rudolph's mind, though, about whether he'd take Floyd in after the wide receiver's sentence was transferred from Arizona to Minnesota.

"We're all going to make mistakes,” Rudolph said. “I'm not perfect. He's not perfect. No one is. It's just a matter of what you do; you have to learn your lesson and understand that we're so fortunate to have these opportunities. It's called the Not For Long league for a reason. There are only so many opportunities, and I think he realizes that.”

Here are some other notes and observations from the Vikings' second open organized team activity on Wednesday:

Receiver Adam Thielen was on the field for practice, but was mostly a bystander, though his absence was neither related to an injury nor his contract, watching the session with his left knee wrapped. Cornerback Xavier Rhodes was also not in attendance,David Johnson Jersey, which expires after this season.

With Thielen out, Jarius Wright joined the Vikings' top three-receiver grouping,Devonta Freeman Jersey,Matt Ryan Jersey, getting some time with Stefon Diggs and Laquon Treadwell.

The Vikings have planned their future at tackle around Riley Reiff and Mike Remmers,Vic Beasley Jersey, and T.J. Clemmings might be learning a new position. The third-year lineman worked at guard on Wednesday with the Vikings' second-team offense, while Rashod Hill and Jeremiah Sirles were at tackle with the second unit.
