How to tell someone is rich

Part of my business sometimes involves learning absolutely everything about very wealthy and/or highly placed individuals. The truly wealthy individuals usually are difficult to pick out of a crowd. The flashy dressers driving exotic flashy vehicles and doing all they can to scream: "look at me,replica mens rolex oyster perpetual datejust, look at me" are almost universally merely persons with lots of credit available, or temporarily wealthy; or they are spending someone else's money (Daddy's).

Many, perhaps most, of the truly rich do not wear expensive clothing, jewelry or drive pretentious vehicles. The truly rich are typically those who have learned the value of moeny and use their moeny to work for them, they do not spend their money on trinkets that is why they are wealthy. They do not need to attempt to aggrandize themselves through fashion statements or displays of wealth. Frequently they live in a nice, but reasonably modest home (often their first home), drive nice, but unpretentious vehicles. They prefer not to attract a lot of attention. They do not feel the need to show people they are successful becasue they already know they are successful. They do not need to be surrounded by a swarm of security personnel because no one is going to recognize them (when they do have security, they want them to be invisible). They will wear reasonably priced quality clothing, drive a three year old Buick or maybe a pick up truck, wear a Timex watch (which keeps better time than a Rolex). Some may wear pricy watches as jewelry if that is their passion, but those are few. If they collect art, they display it modestly in their home or office without a great deal of fanfare. Often their guests or employees have no idea they are viewing an artwork worth hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars. They keep to themselves and may be generous, but rarely flamboyant.

The newly rich or temporarily rich are typically the ones who feel the need to show off and declare their "success" to the world. These are the persons with the Rolex watches (did you know Rolex actually makes only mediocre timepieces?). As often as not, these persons are no longer wealthy within a few years. Frequently, such persons are not really wealthy, but they have achieved sufficient income for a time to allow them access to huge amounts of credit, or they have taken over their parents company and are in the process of causing it to fail (most often this is the third generation in a family owned business). Very frequently these persons end up nearly penniless when there is an economic downturn and they find their Rolex, state of the art video systems, or their Ferrari have little or no cash value, especially when they were purchased with credit.

The other exception is those involved in illegal activities to acquire wealth. They often live the flash and glamour lifestyle until they are sent off to the hoosegow.

I guess to relate this back to the OP they have attorneys on retainer, live in high income ritzy areas, they shop at high priced stores, rolex perpetual datejust replica, and their doctors have Stanford, USC, and Columbia on their wall instead of Michigan State law school.

In case you are too deft to comprehend as my spelling error thoroughly confused you I shall spell it out: the rich live in upper class enclaves where the quality and array of services they receive are likely unbeknownst to those that do not reside in them.

Not only did I make it through high school, I joined the Navy, worked for a mgmt consulting firm sans a college degree while many of my peers had MBAs from top tier schools, traveled the world on your dime as a USAID,replica mens rolex datejust, Dos, and DOD contractor earning no less than 105k with a Kabul high of 247k per year, and now attend an Ivy League uni.
